• As a result of The Fall and its sin, the influence was reflected in the image of evil, wickedness, and sin associated with Satan’s values, and hence in the world culture at the time of The Flood.
• We continually see a broken world with people living in brokenness.

1. *The World’s Solutions

• Government can’t provide the answer—
• They can change legislation and rearrange the rules of engagement, but they can’t bring the real solution that can only come through a changed heart.
• They can’t heal a wounded soul.
• They can’t turn hatred into love.
• They can’t bring about repentance, forgiveness, true joy, and peace.
• Business can provide jobs . . .
• Educators can teach useful knowledge . . .
• Self-help programs can offer effective methods of behavior modification…
• Psychological techniques can aid in self-understanding . . .
• All of these enterprises can be good and can benefit society, BUT none are God’s solution; none are God’s hope for a broken world of broken people.

C. God’s Solution

• Only the Church has the power to conquer sin and its hold, wipe out shame and indignities caused by injustice, heal wounds, and ultimately change the world.
