INTRODUCTION

•    Life is shaped by words, personal lives, families, cultures, nations, the world.

•    Words are fundamental to life, both spoken and written.

•    Words have the power to create and to destroy, to empower and to demolish.

•    Words are powerful that they have the potential for great harm and fortune.

•    Due to social media, our culture and world has lost discretion and control regarding words.

•    Too often words now release anger and damage rather than peace and edification.

•    Social media originally was looked upon as bringing people together, and in some ways it has. It also has divided and isolated.

Ephesians 4:29 (ESV) Let no corrupting talk come out of your mouths, but only such as is good for building up, as fits the occasion, that it may give grace to those who hear.
